Long Term Care is custodial care, the assistance provided to a person who has cognitive impairment requiring continual supervision or is unable to preform certain activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, or getting up from a bed or chair.

Long-term care insurance is designed to cover the cost of personal and custodial care in a variety of settings such as your home, community organization or other facilities such as a nursing home.

A long-term care policy will reimburse policyholders based on the type and amount of coverage purchased. There are several types of plans available, however, the most common ones are: Reimbursement Plans, Hybrid Plans an Survivorship Long Term Care Plans.
